I think that dress is too casual for a funeral.

But I would wear it out to dinner, to a graduation party, to church with a cardigan, etc.

I have one in a cotton/jersey stretch fabric that I wear all the time in the summer. I guess I'm just used to wearing black? I wear with casual sandals and a bright necklace or earrings.

Not for a funeral? Well while it works for many occasions, imho that can include a funeral, it's ankle length, sure a bit casual but while it bares the arms it's quite high cut, almost mock neck. and if the occasion calls for covering arms you can add a light cardigan or jacket depending on the weather. Plus leggings or tights if it's still too cold for bare legs. Or knee boots.
