By the way, if you DON'T want a gay son, you'll have to splurge on PJs with trucks and baseballs. You might wish to discuss this with your husband, and decide if the family budget can manage the cost of ensuring your son's heterosexuality.

Good luck!

Wow you are a homophobe And have no clue what you are talking about Just because a boy wears pink will not turn him gay You can't turn somebody gay If they are gay it's because they were born that way! So what you're saying is the same goes for a girl if she wears boy clothes she's going to be a lesbian or transexual??? Don't we have more important things to worry about in this world In this day and age????? Instead of worrying about weathering on somebody is gay Let's work on world peace and getting rid of world hunger dr let's get homes for everybody on the planet no more homelessness!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy crap! Surely you must recognize sarcasm when you see it... You realize that they were more or less making the same point that you are making.

Holy crap! Surely we must all recognize those previous ramblings as those of someone who doesn not tend to frequent DCUM, where for the most part, a more educated and literate populace reigns?

Use caution here: we let our DD wear Lightning McQueen PJs, and even Y-fronts with Mater on them, and she's turned into a big stomping lesbian. (She's 4, btw)

I have a DD, and I am sorry, if I have a son, I will not be buying him new pajamas. She has a lot of "boy" pajamas, but jammies that say "Daddy's Princess" will suffice to keep a future DS just as warm and comfy as they kept DD

My husband is from a foreign country and thinks that the pink/blue thing is ridiculous.

I am concerned, however, that he will turn into a prepster. Pink polo shirt is fine, but if he starts to pop that collar...back to crewnecks.

This whole discussion makes me think I'm not the only one who is frustrated by the lack of gender neutral kids clothing available!

My 4 yr old boys favorite color is purple. But he hates preppy clothes. lol

Look up sarcasm in the dictionary.... and please have that cup of coffee before you post

And after you look up sarcasm, please get the period key fixed on your computer.

Where's that thread for best things ever said on DCUM? Because this should be on it, for sure. In fact, you're number two on my personal list, right behind, "Enjoy Applebees," which will never be topped.

I agree wholeheartedly (including about "Enjoy Applebees"). In fact, I may have authored the congratulatory post I'm endorsing, but can't remember because this thread is 8 effin' months old.

What is "enjoy applebees"? I searched and can't find it...

I don't think it's a problem. It's just pajamas. And some boys genuinely do like pink.

We didn't have much trouble finding more gender neutral PJs for the infant and early toddler years. After that it gets more difficult. I think if you buy more expensive (ie: Hanna Anderson, Lands End, LL Bean) you'd have more luck then places like Target, Children's Place, etc.

When he was 3, my son picked out pink Hello Kitty PJs at Target. Bought 'em. He wore them to PJ day at day care. What a man.

This is off topic a bit, but in the middle of a tee ball game yesterday (bunch of 4-6 year old boys) I overheard a coach tell a little boy "if I see you throw that ball underhand again I am going to make you go play with the girls." I wanted to rip his head off, but I didn't do or say anything.

This gender bias stuff is still out there, still real. So my little f-you to the whole gender contruct thing is to let my kid wear pink PJs.
