No big whoop. My son wore pink pajamas a lot.

If anyone has a problem with your son wearing pink pj's or a girl wearing blue ones, than their problem is way bigger than just that...

My son at age 4 had his favorite pajamas, which had been his sister's. He asked every night to wear his "fairy pajamas."

They had pajama day at school, and guess what he wanted to wear. I told him that he could, of course, but that most of the kids would think they were girl pajamas. He changed his mind.

Its not the pink that would bother me so much as the flowers, ladybugs, bunnies, ballerinas, etc. I'm lucky and DC2 is another girl, but if not, my son would definitely have gotten his own pajamas. Sorry.

But think how awesome it would be to have Tim Gunn as your son when you're 75. I bet he just dotes on his mom. Ooh, or Neil Patrick Harris. If my son grew up like him, I'd be over the moon.

By the way, if you DON'T want a gay son, you'll have to splurge on PJs with trucks and baseballs. You might wish to discuss this with your husband, and decide if the family budget can manage the cost of ensuring your son's heterosexuality.

Good luck!

FUCKING hilarious!

So what you're saying is the same goes for a girl if she wears boy clothes she's going to be a lesbian or transexual??? Don't we have more important things to worry about in this world In this day and age????? Instead of worrying about weathering on somebody is gay Let's work on world peace and getting rid of world hunger dr let's get homes for everybody on the planet no more homelessness!!!!!!!!!!!

That person was joking. Relax. It was a hilarious post. People are born gay. The color of the pjs one wears isn't going to change that!

I don't think it's a big deal. I'm pregnant with #2 now (girl) and I was just planning out the clothes and decided to have her wear her older brother's PJs at least for the 1st year (after 12 months he wore them all out), but the smaller sizes are still in good shape and seems silly to waste them.

Apparently pink was considered manly because of the association with red blood. Blue was considered fay and feminine.

Loved this post! I did not know that a degree in Victorian Studies existed...you are not pulling our legs are you?
