New Factories in United States

Companies are reeling from the economic blow Trump and his merry and of idiots have hit them with from tariffs to lawlessness. No one has the capital to build anything new. No one has excess money to pay through the nose to source materials for these factories.

We always knew technologies prosperity is a lie.

No voting for a reality TV con man and fools is bad for the economy. Businesses don’t invest in building new things when their stock and profits are tanking. Trump screwed them.

Businesses also don’t invest in things that have no future. Building backwards is a great path toward bankruptcy!

Can't Elon just fund the factories and hire the people he fired? I support using his money for this initiative.

LOL, that’s the spaghetti number’s Trump pulled out of his dementia-addled brain on a whim.

“We have ten trazillion billion investments today.”

WTH, no! Americans are apparently dying to screw in tiny screws, per Lutnick, so MAGA will be clamoring for these low-paid jobs.

It's like driving a truck, pretty easy and you can listen to the radio, get paid the same. Except big S, Stigmacrats.

Well, the felon doesn’t care about the coastal elites (unless they’re GOP) so why do you? Trump loves to stiff worker bees, so no stigma there.

p.s. I hope truck drivers aren’t that casual

Look, a lot of people can gear down and just spend less money. If there are two parents in a household, that might mean one becoming a SAHP (of any gender).

Spending less money and buying fewer things is going to be just the shot in the arm this faltering economy needs. We had it far too easy for too long.

Most logical post I’ve seen in a while on here. We’ve been riding high on cheap good and excess for too long.

Well, to be fair, GWB told Americans to spend after 9/11. But, yes, MAGA needs to stop shopping at Walmart and buying quality goods that cost $$$.

Yes, this absolutely screams efficiency. Maybe he can name them the Rube Goldberg Factories.

I know, having cancer research for decades was the “too easy” life. The scientists and doctors can screw tiny screws, OR will take up the valuable offers from England and Canada, who remain remarkably pro-experts.

Yes.

Canada:

- Saskatchewan -- "Saskatchewan is hoping to capitalize on the "uncertain political climate in the United States" and recruit doctors from south of the border."
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/american-doctor-recruiment-1.7505983

- British Columbia -- "British Columbia's health minister, Josie Osborne, has announced plans to fast-track the recognition of credentials for American doctors and nurses. This initiative comes at a time of escalating trade tensions between Canada and the United States, with the province seeing an opportunity to attract skilled healthcare workers from south of the border."
https://nurse.org/news/canada-hire-usa-trained-nurses/

- Ontario -- "Now is the time "to turn U.S. 'brain drain' into Canadian 'brain gain,'" Canadian Medical Association (CMA) president Dr. Joss Reimer said in a statement last week. "Canada must act quickly to attract the American medical and scientific professionals who no longer feel valued in Trump's United States with its mass layoffs and the elimination of health programs and research positions," she said."
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/hamilton/american-family-doctors-1.7513107

- Manitoba: "The headline on a recruitment website invites doctors to practise "with stability and certainty, where you are valued and trusted as a physician" and to "build a practice and life you'll love in Manitoba." A print ad highlights Manitoba's health-care system as one "that values medical evidence" and enables doctors to practise with "zero political interference between you and your patient.""
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/doctors-manitoba-recruitment-united-states-1.7412424

- Nova Scotia: "The authority launched a digital recruiting campaign in the U.S. in November, targeting physicians feeling uneasy about the election results. "We saw it as an opportunity with the election to remind folks and the leads that we have in the U.S. that we are here, ready and waiting for them should they wish to choose Nova Scotia to come practise here," said Katrina Philopoulos, the director of physician recruiting."

Not to mention those researchers being actively courted by Europe.

- France: "At a time when academic freedom is sometimes called into question, Aix-Marseille Université is launching the Safe Place For Science program, offering a safe and stimulating environment for scientists wishing to pursue their research in complete freedom. In a context where some scientists in the United States may feel threatened or hindered in their research, our university is announcing the launch of the Safe Place For Science program, dedicated to welcoming scientists wishing to pursue their work in an environment conducive to innovation, excellence and academic freedom."

Add The Netherlands, Australia, Germany, and so on.

Would any of these countries like government cybersecurity specialist or an engineer?!

I don't know of specific fast-tracking programs right now, outside of health care and research. But you Ould try here:

Guys, there aren’t going to be any new factories. The ones that exist will struggle to stay open with the tariffs in place.

He’s in debt up to his ears. Drowning in debt. That’s why he wanted to mess up the economy, to lower interest rates. With the amount he owes, even a tenth of a percent saves him a bundle. He doesn’t have money. Dude lives in a box when he’s not freeloading at the White House.

People forget how much Walmart drove US manufacturing overseas with demands of ever decreasing cost of goods. NPR had story after story on this 20 years ago.

We can't afford "quality goods made in the US" - you're gonna have to start paying better.
