You think NYPD would have been able to take out bin Laden after 9/11? Because by your logic this would have been a NYC problem and not a USA problem |
Are you basically equivocating war with foreign powers and dealing with locally produced sewage? |
Title of the thread is not accurate. It makes it should like he is actively putting sewage into people’s homes. It’s more a lack of action. You must be a Democrat looking for views. |
There’s quite a load of locally produced sewage seeping out of the White House and flooding across America that we’re all going to be paying for over the next decade or two. |
Yes, yes they are. From people that love claiming to be the smartest person in the room. |
DP. I agree with you that Trump’s not doing anything to force sewage into people’s homes, but this is not a lack of action. Had Trump done absolutely nothing, the necessary improvements would have been made to stop sewage from backing up into people’s homes. The funding for the repairs was already approved and had begun. Trump is specifically taking action to halt the repairs that would solve this public health crisis. The truth is in between OP’s title and your post. |
Is that the way this works? Is not other city and states problem? Because if so I’m sure a number of blue states are going to be thrilled to hear that their federal tax amount is about to go waaay down. Also we’re going to want clear documentation of exactly what laws and regulations we as the United States are actually united on folks contributing towards. |
Why is the federal government paying for the ENTIRE construction of the Baltimore bridge that collapsed? Shouldn't Baltimore and Maryland pay for that? https://www.cbsnews.com/baltimore/news/key-bridge-rebuild-will-be-entirely-funded-by-federal-government-maryland-lawmakers-say/ |
By your logic, Bin Laden would have never been taken out because Joe Biden was the one who said to Obama, don't take him out, ... and you voted for that moron. |
How the F are you equating national defense to backed up sewers in Alabama, S-head? |
You all realize most of this problem is because of straight piping sewage right? https://cfpub.epa.gov/ncer_abstracts/index.cfm/fuseaction/display.abstractDetail/abstract_id/10946/report/0
"Although technically illegal, site inspections in three Alabama counties indicate that straight pipes are common (Elliott, 2017). One detailed study of all unsewered homes in Bibb County, AL found 15% straight pipe (White and Jones, 2006) and a follow-up study in Wilcox County found 60% of unsewered homes used a straight pipe (Elliott, 2017). Based on these straight pipe figures, the ground and water bodies of just these two counties receive over 500,000 gallons of raw sewage each day. To put this into context, a one-time sewage spill of 5000 gallons will typically make the news and the local newspaper." |
It's a probem that should have been FIXED years ago, instead of in typical U. S. fashion, nursing it along. |
Yes, standard of living eventually becomes a national security issue. The folks in Alabama won’t be the last to find out the money needed to maintain a reasonable standard of living is being yanked. |
Where do you draw the line between “my problem” and “their problem”? The Rose Garden whorehouse disco makeover is not my problem. I guess you’re ok with it being your problem? Expecting an invitation to dance at some point? |
Super dumb analogy. 9/11 was an act of war. This is local sewage. |
