Miller - Immigration Hypocrite?

Anonymous
If that article about his family's immigration story is the, they would be legitimate asylum seekers. That is very different from the 85% of people flooding across the border for economic reasons.

Of course not. If he supported reasonable legal immigration for people of all backgrounds, and if he had an ounce of compassion for the illegal immigrants here and wanting to get here, it would be different.

But he is racist, misanthropic, and cruel. He lacks the humanity to appreciate his luck and to want to help others.

As someone who is DAR-eligible along multiple threads, I regret that my ancestors allowed Stephen's grandparents in, despite his nice uncle.

Sure looks like you are calling him a hypocrite for not wanting to let in millions. He has to appreciate his luck and want to help others.

He's a hypocrite for not wanting to continue with the asylum program for people who have been threatened by gangs and escaping a death sentence in places like El Salvador. Instead, Trump's admin wants to provide refugee status to white South Africans because the government passed some law that *might* take their land (ie, eminent domain which we have here) that they took from native South Africans.

His family escaped people threatening their lives, too.

Trump cancelled most asylum programs, except for the ones to white people from South Africa.

Making him more appreciative of legitimate asylum versus all the fake cases coming in now. Once Trump said they had to wait in Mexico, people on the way returned home. Why would they do that if they were fleeing a death sentence?

There's a difference between economic migration and human rights migration. Claiming human rights doesn't mean it really is.

Paying off a cartel/coyote ten grand and claiming refugee status is often a ruse. You know it and I know it.

More like 95%.

If I were trying to get away from threats to my and my family's life, I would pay $10K+ to a coyote to get me to a country to seek aslyum.

source?

The thing is, Miller doesn't even want any type of asylum program. "Shut the door behind my family".

DP. I don't know. Why are 200,000 Salvadorans still here on TPS when their president said their country is the safest country in the Western hemisphere? Why has Trump revoked TPS for Haitians, Venezuelans and Afghanis--whose countries are way more unsafe and unstable than El Salvador--but not for Salvadorans?

This. You know this guy has nasty skeletons. And he's using a demented old narcissist to get his way. If we survive this, people will view this time in history and say WTF?

He married the spokesperson for the family separation policy.

The asylum claims from Afghans who helped us during the war are completely real because the Taliban will kill them instantly if they return, Miller wants to get rid of all of them too.

Interestingly, she's a Conservative Jew. I guess she doesn't see the irony in being Jewish and marrying someone who advocates for separating children from their families (like in the Nazi concentration camps) or for kicking refugees out of the country and sending them back to unsafe conditions.

Miller is also Jewish.

True, but he has been criticized by several family members and his childhood rabbi for not upholding basic values of Judaism, particularly in relation to his views on immigration.
