Of course not. If he supported reasonable legal immigration for people of all backgrounds, and if he had an ounce of compassion for the illegal immigrants here and wanting to get here, it would be different.

As someone who is DAR-eligible along multiple threads, I regret that my ancestors allowed Stephen's grandparents in, despite his nice uncle.

This thread is pointless. There is nothing in Miller's past that indicates he used to be a strong supporter of immigration. What his ancestors did is irrelevant. We're all hypocrites compared to other people.

Huh? The thread says he's an early OPPONENT of immigration, not a supporter. Read more closely.

The hypocrisy is that his Jewish ancestors benefited from immigrating to this country to escape anti-Jewish pogroms, but that he is now the face of the extreme anti-immigrant policies of the Trump administration. He is virulently, almost pathologically anti-immigrant.
