Do men become more deferential to their wives as they get older and wealthier?

I suspect the only real ones are the moms who started out on this board back in the day. Now they're all 50's+ and they/their spouses have reached the peak of their lifetime earning potential. There's no one around to brag to because everyone in their social circle is similarly well off. Even a middle of the pack corporate ladder climber is going to have some decent wealth. Big woop.

Politically. I’ve seen men who started out as conservative republicans become more liberal over time, and usually they’re married to a very liberal feminist type woman.

Now you could argue these men simply wised up and became enlightened, or it could be the fact they don’t want to destroy their marriage by getting into political debates with their spouse in an era of extreme polarization.

My wife just became more conservative. A much better solution.

Its not because they want to protect their money from the wife but from the next woman. They know by now that wife is faithful and would care for them if they got sick and protect money for the kids.
