Are your friends with your dil or Sil’s parents?

My parents are local and my in laws live a few hours away. When in-laws used to visit us (they’re too old to travel now) my parents would normally come over for dinner one night. My kids loved having all 4 grandparents in one place. They’re friendly but not friends and don’t see each other outside of visits with us. They do exchange cards for milestone birthdays and anniversaries.

I’m trying to be magnanimous and loving yet my DC are all single/unmarried.

Still trying to establish good in-law relationships. When my BIL (sister’s DH) recently lost his last parent, my family and I went to the funeral service. I’ve done same for my brothers’ DW’s wives.

So OP you can gather once or twice a year with this family. Meet at a restaurant. Take a few pictures. We’re talking four hours out of your life.

You sound gross.

You sound like you have your head screwed on straight.
