If you have a 13/14 futures cuts, your always prioritize futures. |
Are you asking about PVS? Yes. Lots of towels, parka and snacks. And as someone else said, it is a pretty sterile champs meet and not a lot of fun. |
Futures is only in the summer….
|
Not to mention, there are no 13/14 Futures cuts. |
Pretty sure all the responses about the 13/14 futures cuts were tongue and cheek since they do not exist. |
No, NCSA Spring Champs March 17-21 ORLANDO |
The design of the pool (open air that was a bit modified with windows) means the pool is still on the cooler side in the morning. Same suggestions as pp…pack a few towels, a parka may be something to you want to bring, although my swimmer preferred hoodies. There’s a Whole Foods and a Publix not too far from that area. Some kids do walk to WF but it’s across the highway. Otherwise you can DoorDash groceries. Depending on if your swimmer is doing parent or team travel, the restaurants in that area tend to cater towards tourists, especially since it’s spring break. They are pretty crowded at lunch too so order ahead. Might want to get an Airbnb or hotel with a kitchenette. Otherwise it’s your typical champs style meet- prelims in the morning, finals at night and distance events in between. Warmup lanes aren’t assigned so they can get crowded. My swimmer has met a lot of kids over the years from clubs across the country and has kept in touch. Some college coaches that aren’t at NCAAs are on deck and even though they can’t talk to freshman and sophomores, they’re taking notes. It’s a fun meet! |
| How late do NCSA finals typically go? (Not the age group meet) |
Usually done by 7:45-8:00 |
