NCSA 2026

I don’t think it is necessary unless it reflects as lack of commitment. PVS Champs finals can be just as good of an experience.

I am really struggling with this bc there are so many travel meets for age groupers once they hit 13/14 and have sectionals, futures cuts etc. it is a lot!!!

As the parent of a swimmer who’s participated in finals in both meets, comparing PVS champs finals with finals at NCSA is like apples and oranges. I by no means think it’s necessary for the 10 and unders to participate in these types of travel meets, but if you have a talented 12 year old who is on track to hit sectionals cuts in the next year and is looking at participating in more high level travel meets going forward, it’s a good experience to get under their belt so they have a feel for what it’s like to travel and try and maintain routines and focus in a setting that isn’t normal.

PVS Cnamos is WAY different than NCSAs. Not even close.

PVS champs are pretty sterile compared to NCSAs. Even during prelims the energy is high. The stands are loud, the music, etc.
