I wouldn’t worry about it. Wear what is comfortable.

Disagree. Don’t wear sneakers. Have your son wear sperrys.

Ok, go ahead and disagree. But we didn’t have sperrys or time to go out and buy them. I literally called the admissions office, spoke to a woman and asked her this question and she said “please don’t go out and buy shoes just for shadow day. Sneakers are fine”.

My son got in this year, class of 2029. So it worked out for us. But you do you and disagree. That’s fine.

Your son doesn’t have any nicer shoes? What does he wear to Mass? I am not saying you can’t show up in sneakers, I am a saying that your son will look and feel out of place. Buy him a pair of sperrys unless it is really a financial hardship for your family.

For a shadow day? Don't be ridiculous. Gonzaga, literally: “please don’t go out and buy shoes just for shadow day. Sneakers are fine”.

A bunch of high school boys are not going to make a prospective student feel out of place for wearing sneakers.

7th grade mom here, planning ahead on some spring stuff including starting to get my head around the admissions process for next year.

In my research I found this thread and it prompted a question for me - are Gonzaga students (not asking about shadow days) only allowed to wear pants or shorts that are shades of khaki, or can they wear other colors like navy or gray in a chino style?

Can they wear fabrics like whatever ABC Lululemon pants are, or do they have to be chino material? Can they wear what I’d call “five pocket” style pants (not denim obviously), or are only “regular” chino style allowed?

Can they wear plain 1/4 zips on top of a collared shirt, or can they only wear Gonzaga pullovers. I realize this is what 99% of students wear; just trying to learn if that’s because other pullovers aren’t allowed.

- They can wear other colors as long as they are solid colored. DS has some grey and navy blue.

- DS has a couple pairs of the Lulu ABC, as well as the stretch Vineyard Vibes pants. The handbook specifies dress pants. I interpret this to mean no “five pocket” styles.

- They can wear plain ones. They can also be striped.

Agree with everything the above poster said. The only other rule is that hooded sweatshirts if worn must have Gonzaga logos although my son has lately been wearing the thinner golf/dress hoodies (without large logos) without any trouble.
