Do your kids take a bath every day ?

Shower everyday (we switched to showers at 4). Sometimes is a quick face and bottom wash. Some days is a nice bath (maybe once a week). We wash hair every 3 days or so unless they got very sweaty.

My 7 year old still doesn't do daily baths -- shower every other day. She has sensitive skin and daily bathing is not great for it.

In the summer she showers almost daily due to swim but doesn't always use soap, some showers are just rinsing off.

My five year old does daily baths and every other day hair washing, but I regularly skip baths for late bedtime or whatever. So in practice it’s probably five days a week or so and two or three shampoos. More in summer.

My kid has keratosis and we have to spread out baths or it makes the rash worse.

Wouldnt hand and face washing take care of both of those problems even without a full bath?

To really clean fingernails they should be done with a brush after soaking in the tub at least 5-10 minutes. Very few parents of young kids who “wash hands and face” are doing that.

How long are your kid's fingernails?!

My kids bathe everyday. Once in a blue moon we might skip - special occasion or family event and we got home too late, etc. I don’t get people who don’t bathe kids everyday. Mine go outside every single day, even in the rain (they love splashing in puddles!) so they’ve gotta have a bath. But I do not wash hair everyday.

Mine go out every day but we still only do every other day in fall/winter. If they are wearing pants and long sleeves, only their hands need to be washed when we come inside. Then they change into clean clothes after a hand wash. Maybe they need a bath and hairwash if they roll around in the fall leaves or we go somewhere dusty like a farm or pumpkin patch, but otherwise I feel like every other day is fine.

Huh, my kid has been an every other day bather for years and she definitely doesn't have dirty fingernails or "crust" under nose. I assumed the kids with the nose thing had chronic colds or allergies and had not been taught how to properly blow/wipe their noses.

My kids (4 and 11) bathe twice a week. When the older one was younger, we tried every other day but she hated it, so we went down to twice a week, and it's been completely fine. Just wipe their face with a washcloth every evening. The 11 year old will need to increase frequency at some point in the coming years, but she's not there yet (i.e. does not smell!).

You're right that is disgusting. FYI. other people smell them before you.

My 16 year old showers every other day. He is not sporty and does not sweat a lot. Unless you are dirty or extremely sweaty, daily baths showers are 100% not necessary.
