Wash Lil Caps No Longer Moving to St James?

They burned a lot of bridges cutting those teams in the first place, so a lot of families are leaving regardless. Plus the teams are already set for 8U, 10U, and 12U

And they let go lots of their coaches.

Who at STJ is responsible for cutting the A teams? Please get rid of that person, immediately. Little Caps had over a ywar to secure things for their team. What a complete mess/failure.

Probably starts at the top. I'm guessing the owners, whoever manages all of the programs at the St James, and Tim Graham. They took a bet on buying a AAA program to increase the visibility and it seems like it backfired.

Not only did they cut teams they cut full ice practices. The practices were supposed to be partial shared and partial full ice. When this deal was announced no team had any full ice practice time anymore. And they also cut a potential girls 10/12UA team even though they had the interest. And are supposedly trying to grow girls hockey.

That's a big misstep since the girls teams are the only St James ones that are any good.

Technically the shared practice is full ice practice.

nope. What would happen you spend maybe 20 minutes with another team. Then the last hour was just your team. At least that’s what they have done. From what they had listed before the announcement there was definitely just your team on the ice for a significant portion of practice.

The thing is it's not that easy to change clubs particularly in the older ages so where are these families going?

Basically any program within driving distance. Most families have begun to realize paying extra for their "pro" coaches doesn't mean much when they are CBHL bottom feeders at every age group.

Why are you posting retorts when you know nothing about the culture of each rink and their programs?

I know a thing or two which is I wouldn’t bring my kid within a mile of Little Caps, especially under the new arrangement.

Which is what exactly?

See, for example, the later posts in this thread about why the deal fell through.

LC has scrubbed all mention of STJ from their socials but STJ still has the LC links on theirs ...weird messy breakup where one partner doesn't want to admit it's over.

I talked to an Ion coach who said Little Caps would be back for a 1 year extension.

Oh good, so 1 sheet of ice and a building the owners will continue to neglect. Great image for a Tier 1 program
