UT is very good in STEM but for STEM in Canada Waterloo is the only real answer.
Waterloo is more like UCLA or UMich - less theoretical.


Waterloo is very theoretical and operates CS out of the Math department.

It’s U of T. Not UT. It’s hard to compare because there like 1 college in Canada for every 50 in the US. Also, all Canadian undergrad programs are public. Plus, U of T had the best law school in the country, and arguably the best med school as well. Other than McGill for undergrad generally and Waterloo for stem, U of T is basically the best school in Canada for everything else.
