You paid for private and your kid is going to Elon?

Seriously bad financial decisions and educational ones.

ED to Chicago, Midd, Vandy or Wesleyan.

This is way inflated for a 3.7. Maybe your school does better. I just looked at the stats for these schools minus Wash U in Feb with a big3 CCO. They haven't taken below a 3.9 in 3 years. Then yesterday my 3.9 senior was rejected RD from Vanderbilt and Rice. Not even wait listed.

You sound like the parent of that previous poster

3.7 from a good private:

Very Likely: Rhodes, college of Charleston, holy cross, Fairfield, providence college, Franklin and Marshall, American… unless they yield protect.

Safety: Elon, HighPoint, muhlenberg, Denison, Dickinson, Wooster

I am the PP if you are also full pay, ED really wisely - try a bates/colby over a Hamilton/middlebury. 3.7 isn’t going Ivy or Williams/amherst unless there is a hook.

Get bent, nerd.

Tulane - got $32k/year merit (need to apply EA and tour/demonstrate interest).
Miami Ohio - got $24k/year merit.

Ended up getting in ED at Ivy (after receiving the above merit awards).

What Ivies have ED?

Case Western, Tulane type of schools as mentioned by PPs. Both have EA, you will know the results before ED an ivy.
