As of Fall 24, according to the school's website enrollment from DMV is:
DC-15, MD-67, VA-57=139 or 8% of student body. |
It is most definitely a lot of work. But Swat is a top school and admits smart kids who can handle the work load. The school has parties but it is not a party school. Kids are happy, have fun, but in measure. Most importantly, it has a very collaborative not competitive culture. |
| Not much school spirit |
| Swarthmore doesn’t have the prestige of Williams or the cult of amherst on this forum, so it’s not discussed. Too bad, maybe it should work on its image |
And what percent of those were recruited athletes? |
Totally agree with this. |
| Swarthmore lacks the prestige of Williams and the cult of Amherst to be noticed on this forum. Swarthmore should work harder to be well known and important rather than graduating fruit cakes. |
Work on its image just so that it gets discussed on this forum? No, thanks. |
Feel free to count. https://swarthmoreathletics.com/index.aspx |
You are rightm They really need to. |
| Pomona and Swat have a semester exchange program-academically similar but vibe quite different. |
Swat is a great school but why would anyone want to leave Pomona for a semester? |
This was how my DD felt also. |
My kid’s friend got into Swathmore this year. |
