I think you mean Black women, because white women continue to back the white patriarchy whenever it really counts. And honestly, as one of those Black women, I am sick and tired of trying to save y'all from yourselves. At this point, bring on the segregation, because I do not trust white people. You all voted for this because you couldn't swallow righting the wrongs of the past and not being given the advantages you've become to believe you're entitled to. 400 years of slavery, 100 years of Jim Crow, and maybe 20 years of affirmative action y'all want to chuck the constitution.

You’re talking to me, a 54 year old suburban white woman who has never voted for a republican. I marched Selma, Alabama for one of the Bloody Sunday anniversaries. I support SPLC. .None of my white female friends are republicans either. We voted for Kamala. We’re all boycotting companies that dumped DEI, and we’re calling our representatives. Your stereotypes and anger toward us as a group is unreasonable and not helpful.

Same. I'm 69. I hate that so many people in America are stupid and voted for this mess. I don't want to hear anymore "whatabouts". This is a historical disaster.

DP and I would have framed it as “most” white women, but the rest stands. Don’t be mad at us for seeing how white women voted with white men, even against their own interests. Instead, be mad at those women.

That's nice and all, but I have to go by 1. My own experiences with white people and 2. The numbers.

My own experiences and the numbers suggest that when push comes to shove, white people would rather burn this country down than see me and people like me live among them as true equals. I can't take risks on those of you who might be really serious about racial equity. I have to keep myself and my family safe, and as a population, y'all are simply not safe. If that bothers you, keep up the good fight. But for me, right now? I'm keeping y'all at arms length, and you're a Trump supporter/white supremacist until proven otherwise through actions not words.

While I don't disagree that white people often make some terrible choices, unless you can leave the country, you don't really have a realistic option other than to 1) decide you love this authoritarian regime and go all in, or 2) work with at least some white people to try to change/resist. Black people are around 14 percent of the population of the U.S.

We've taken care of ourselves before, and we can do it again. This country has been trying to break communities of color for hundreds of years. It hasn't worked yet, and it won't work now.

While I think this internecine warfare is unproductive, it is worth mentioning that both Liz Cheney and Cassidy Hutchison aren’t black. It IS always white women, bc we have the forum to say things that you black women can’t/won’t. Stop patronizing us. Stop unloading your frustrations on white men on us. And then read this:

MOST people didn’t even vote, unfortunately.

Likewise when y’all started stereotyping us all as “Karen”, I wondered why I had ever bothered to be an ally.

This is basically bribery. The more you simply follow the money trail all the things trump and musk are doing become clear. The dismantling of the Department of Education is one example.

Dammit could you just stop this ignorant and divisive bullshit? Is Jamie Raskin a man? Chris VanHollen? Can you not understand that prednisone based on gender is NOT a progressive ideal? Something has warped the brains of modern progressives.

”Most” white women s also inaccurate. A white woman in DC has nothing to do with some white woman in Idaho and should not be spoken of as related just because of skin color. With ignorance like this from our own side we are screwed. The whole point of the civil rights movement was to judge people by the content of their character and not their skin color. What has happened to you?

Con’t: And BTW, I canvassed and phone banked for democrats in the “black belt”, and the number of black people who have decided voting is pointless was really disheartening. I get that the history of intimidation at the polls means not everyone felt comfortable telling a white woman if they were voting, but sadly, the numbers confirmed the apathy. People literally died for the right to vote. We all need to honor that by exercising that right every single time we can.

With Paul Weiss, Trump showed us plain and simple that he is a mobster running a protection racket.

He shook Paul Weiss down for $40 million.

Those of you who say "I don't care about any of this, I'm rich and I love the tax cuts" - WAKE THE F UP.

You're the next people he's going to shake down and screw over, and by the time he's done with you, those tax cuts aren't going to be something you will keep, and won't be worth it.

It's this. He's the mafia don. And businesses are shelling out money to continue doing business safely.

The biggest news is just how bad PW is at negotiating. Telling. All of it is bad, but we all know all they had to do was say no more DEI. To admit a former partner engaged in wrongdoing and now tying the firm to 40m in work for Trump’s causes for years to come (and thing their reputation to Trump), just stunningly bad negotiating in the face of a 100 percent certainty illegal order.

Anyone have scoop on what other firms are doing?

You are wrong. They are getting what they deserve since they assisted with attempts to frame Trump with trumped-up charges.
