Yellowstone. Should I bother to finish it?

Why does kevin Costner love Beth so much and despise Jaimie?? She’s a volatile immature train wreck.

I have not watched it because it seems to really appeal to the Trumper women in my community.

It was sort of good for awhile, but I’m now in season 4 and so much of it is just god awful. There are only so many new enemies trying to get the Duttons one can watch without getting totally desensitized, Beth and Rip are abusive psychos, and the writer is now in the show, and is a jackass who I’m convinced hates all women.

And I’ve heard it only gets worse as Kevin Costner leaves, right?

I’m paying for it by season bc it moved off Netflix in the US.

Do I bother?

No.

I also hated how Jaime was seen as less than because he was adopted. He was a terrible person because he tried to make his Dutton family love him? An impossible task since it was predetermined that his adopted status made him unworthy of the Dutton name!

Lastly Sheridan really does hate women. What was up with all the violence? The fights between Beth and Jamie were insane. The most absurd fight of all was between Beth and Summer. I felt embarrassed to even see it.

Sheridan likes girl on girl violence. Look at 1923 with the nun abusing the girls or Timothy Dalton’s character abusing prostitutes. It is the definition of gratuitous.

Look, the show is ridiculous, but very fun to watch. But I must comment here. Several people sticking up for the Jaimie character. I'm not sure if spoilers are allowed here, but you know what he did, right? To Beth? That made him 100% irredeemable. And that's why they hated him. How do watch such a simple show and not get that?

Oh please. He brought her to a Native American clinic for an abortion. I’m not sure if he was fully aware what would happen. Frankly, it’s sort of ridiculous to think they would sterilize a white woman anyway who clearly wasn’t Native American. She did it to herself by getting pregnant first.

Also, she can certainly do IVF or use a surrogate with her eggs and Rip’s sperm.

When Jamie was his lawyer, they were tight. But ultimately he was indispensable because he wasn’t blood.

Totally agree. It is ridiculous that she has this 25 year burning hatred for him over this. And yeah, at most she would have had her tubes tied (which can be undone) and she could still have a baby with IVF. No way did she have a same day hysterectomy

God intervened bc she is totally unfit for parenthood and was always psycho and abusive, even as a teen

I finished it but only half watched the last episode while I was making dinner.

So a recap-
Kayce sells the ranch to the reservation but keeps a house there to live with Monica (who has a very deep Native American jewelry and clothing game) and Tate. How about all the lawsuits and this and that? They go away? That company with the woman who wanted to destroy Beth? She just goes away?

Beth kills Jaimie?? I missed that scene. How did they cover it up? Wouldn’t he have killed her? He’s stronger. So his kid is now an orphan. And his ex is going to just let his death go?

Rip and Beth buy another ranch and take Carter. They want to be far from ‘tourists’ yet Beth is always fashionably dressed, drives a 300k car, and wants a restaurant with a good steak and high end booze she can ride her horse to. Ok, got it. That kind of place can definitely be supported by one or two local customers a week, right?

It was all so dumb. And taylor putting himself in all those scenes was stupid. Of course his GF in Texas was a super model. Adds up.

I think she projected her self-loathing (triggered by her mom) onto him and clung to that event as the catalyst for that lifeling intense rage and hatred. It wasn't really about not being able to have kids because at least on some level she knew that she, like her own mom, had zero business ever being a mom.

I hate that storyline so much.

I’m rewatching some episodes from season 1 and 2 and now realize just how annoying Beth was. She never evolved at all over the seasons. There was one scene with her and Jamie in the car where she was crying about her mom and he was really sweet to her but then she was back to being a crazy psycho.
The dad was a prick and never saw how crazy his daughter was??
She just became the dumbest caricature. Was it season for when she is fighting the woman living in the house u see house arrest?
I also hate that she never really become a mom to Carter.

Also the whole anortion/hysterectomy thing was totally unbelievable. They would not randomly give a hysterectomy to a white girl on the reservation. At that time she also would have probably spent a few nights in hospital.
Her rage just got old and calling her dad “daddy”
Lastly, it’s weird that no one ever acknowledged Lee after the second episode. Or seemed sad.

Yes! He was absolutely forgotten. But their mother wasn’t. They have flashbacks with her, etc.
