9 am service is slightly more high church than the 11 am service.

If that's not close, generally any ACNA church will be what you want in terms of middle of the road politically. Theologically pretty conservative, but some diocese ordain women (which at least back in the 90s was theologically liberal) while others don't.

Falls Church Anglican hid a sex abuse scandal for decades.

No, they didn't hide it. Reporting requirements in the 2000s were different. Should they have done better? Yes. Did they violate laws or intend to sweep something under the rug? No.

Yes they did. Stop making excuses.

That site is - to it's incredible credit - way more nuanced than you are.

Making excuses for church sex abuse and a church's inadequate response to it, and downplaying the damage it has caused, is a well known tactic called "circling the wagons." This posture is about preserving the institution vs helping victims or preventing future abuse. As you can see from the "nuanced" website, the church had ample opportunities over the years to properly address the abuse and to reach out to victims, and it failed again and again, despite victims coming forward (and no, appropriately responding to abuse wasn't so different in 2015 vs. today). The church investigation only began in Fall 2023, around 18 months ago. Tell me why they couldn't have begun sooner? The fact that the church is embroiled in this current abuse investigation involving multiple child victims speaks volumes about their priorities over their years, and their culture of sweeping it under the rug.

I see, They didn't hide I because they didn't have to hide it. they were just following "reporting requirements."

Doesn't sound like a church I'd want to belong to.

I found some humor/irony in commentators talking about "bigoted" churches aligning with African Churches. Wouldn't that be embracing diversity
