Racism in Australia

We are a Black family that spent several weeks there recently. We didn't have a single bad experience. People were actually quite welcoming.

I think the racist impression might be due to the expectation that as a white liberal society descended from wokey multi-cultural England, Australia would be as sensitive to race issues as their US cousins are.

But the English class system is probably not as deeply entrenched there as in the motherland.

Australians are not descended from woke English liberals. Where did you get the idea that there is an English class system there?
