On this theory, we all should get daily print subsrciptions because I'm sure he takes a bath on those. |
What is he supposed to be fired for again? Competence? What is the point of bullying him? |
Clearly you don't read any of the news sources described in this thread if you think Musk is competent. |
I'm sorry, I'm having trouble keeping up. Aren't we supposed to support struggling journalists? Or is that only if they work for Jeff Bezos? |
PP. My point was just that a capital city should have a decent newspaper. It would be disappointing to have to rely on the Boston Globe to cover DC and presidential matters. I'd agree with people financially supporting multiple journalistic outlets. I don't really care about the financial impact on Bezos, positive or negative, as long as there is some good coverage worth reading. I said this on another DCUM thread, and think it's worth repeating. Alexandra Petri actually did a published endorsement. I thought that was hilarious. https://wapo.st/3Qs9Zhg |
Bezos is going to keep running WaPo as it is not about money for him, it is about power. You can subscribe if you want. I prefer more objective news sources. The AP and Reuters apps are refreshing because they just report the news. WaPo and NYTimes push their opinion pieces too much. |
He probably does, newsprint and delivery drivers are quite expensive. |
Oh-is it competence to have fired the staff at NNSA who manage our nuclear arsenal? Or the people at Dept of Ag who are doing surveillance and management of avian bird flu? Or the FAA people who do air traffic control and maintenance of airplanes? We must read different news sources because DOGE seems like a ketamine fueled massacre of govt employees. |
