I might have bought that before the ridiculous immunity decision. Not anymore. They knew they were handing a get-out-jail free card to a criminal who had already attempted a coup and who had a very good chance of being president again. I have no faith left in the republicans on this court.

You may have a case to question Thomas's integrity but the other 8 justices can be trusted to protect the Constitution.

Agree. As much as I disagree with Barrett and resent the confirmation of Kavanaugh, I have found them both to be quite reasonable except on Roe.

Because SCOTUS Justices don't "play along" with anything or anyone. They are lone wolfs that are sometimes in agreement with other Justices and sometimes not. These people aren't bought and paid for Congress members with tainted obligations.

Just like the other 8 Justices, she worked her butt off and did everything right just to get into position for appointment to the SCOTUS and she isn't about to throw all of that away by siding with anything that is clealy in conflict with our Constitution. What worries me about the SCOTUS is what blackmail material exists for them. We know Kavanaugh has some skeletons in his closet as does Thomas. Hell, we know Thomas is being bankrolled.

I'd like to think they are all bigger thinkers than the moment, but then they handed down that decision last summer giving the President virtual immunity and if that wasn't shortsighted, I'm not sure what is.
