Not OP but my ADHD kid has had terrible side effects with the various medications he’s tried. I’m a-ok with him having a coffee and think it’s probably better long-term than the meds anyway.

I think its more the constant exhaustion that is a concern, not so much the coffee intake. That could be a sign of something more serious.

My son, who has ADHD but had not yet been diagnosed, started drinking coffee in middle school. Started medication freshman year. He still drinks coffee because he enjoys it but the medication helps a lot more.

man we used to have 12 year olds chainsmoking at the factory but now mom has to ask if its okay for them to drink coffee
