FAAs main warning system for pilots is down today.
If I was required to fly for my job or for an emergency, I would not fly anywhere in the US right now. It's going to be chaos for a while unless the current administration changes course. |
Please provide links when you post things like this. Otherwise it could be made up. |
The Notam system was down for the first half the day but is working again. There is a backup system. https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/02/travel/notam-system-outage-flight-delays/index.html |
It was on the first page of the NYT web edition today. I am no longer going to provide links on DCUM. If people are capable of Googling, they need to Google. |
If you are assertions you want to be believed, you link them. It’s not our job to google your remarks. If you don’t care if we listen, do what you want. |
I'm putting the info out there for those whose airline safety is important to them. If it's not important enough to search yourself, that's up to you. I no longer care if you listen or not. |
So you have no source. Cool. |
DP. That's not how it works. If you make a claim, then back it up with a link. There is so much BS floating around, DCUM rightfully expects citations. |
Too many military helicopters 🚁 around DCA. That was the problem. |
When you consider how much three dimensional air space there is out there, a helicopter should never be intersecting its flight routes with that of any airplane. |
Someone already posted a source. If you want to fly under Trump's FAA, especially from DCA, you go for it. I would not. |
Ok but the fact of the matter is, in terms of actual risk assessment, the actually riskier thing to do is a farther drive to IAD. |
DP this was national news. Duffy tweeted about it. |
Yes if I had already booked it. It’s not my top pick anyway, but I don’t purposefully avoid DCA. |
1. Nobody uses twitter anymore. 2. Trump losers aren't legit sources. |
