Congrats! |
No, it isn't. It's a way for Northeastern to make more money and accept more students than it can handle by taking away the fall freshman experience. Nortbeastern warehouses its entering class wherever it can find space. Please read up on this school's marketing practices before making this mistake. Everyone in academia knows what is going on there. Read Chronicle of Higher Education. Please |
+1 Don’t confuse low acceptance rate with high quality education |
+1 Where's the cohesiveness? |
My student started in Boston but has become good friends with someone who did first semester abroad and they are now roommates as juniors. Kid raves about the experience but I’ve heard it was hard at the beginning of second semester (first in Boston.) lots of those kids stay pretty tight. By sophomore year I think the second semester arrivals are usually pretty at home/integrated into campus. |
Let the haters hate. Congrats to your kid. |
But PP didn’t dig at the white as it with lower stats. lol. Congrats to you and your scholar! |
With higher stats than others mentioned. Your racism is showing. |
Kid is a national merit scholar and you think they only got in because they are URm? Lol. Keep lying to yourself |
That poster said NMSF, not scholar. Also how did a NMSF only get a 1500 on the SAT? |
| Only a 1500? Wow! |
NMSF expected to be confirmed as NMF next month. Will then become a Scholar - each of schools that offered him admission also offer a scholarship for NMF. And he was satisfied with his SAT score. Sent it in with all his applications. NEU, Case and Purdue were satisfied too and gave him $$$$ |
I have an NMSF who only has a 1380 on the SATs. It's possible |
Did you have a bad experience with the study abroad program? |
| Great school!! |
