Kate Middleton cancer in remission

We don't even know what kind of cancer the actual monarch has nor did they announced what QE2 died from. This is protocol for the BRF. Glad Kate is better whatever it was.

Remission from cancer. She had surgery in January 2024, wherein the pathology revealed that the removed tissue/mass was cancer. She then had adjuvant chemotherapy. She's now in remission, which means she has no evidence of disease.

I also had surgery in January 2024. Pathology showed invasive malignant neoplasm in my breast tissue. I then had "preventative chemo" from February to June. The "preventative chemo" (called adjuvant chemotherapy in the US) was to ensure that any cancer cells circulating in my body were eliminated. I am also now in remission.

Let me know if you have any other questions about cancer!

NP. Glad to hear your good news!

+1 I'm glad to hear this happen news for you!

And she was ill. And again, we don't know Charle's dx either.

I thought the Queen had bone cancer which may have been disclosed after she died though

For whatever reason, she didn't specify. You could possibly narrow it down based on her treatment plan (surgery + adjuvant chemo, apparently no radiation) but there are lots of plausible possibilities here.

I know a lot of patients who lament about having a "gross" cancer (colorectal, anal, etc.). There is unfortunately still some shame among certain types of cancer. I've known some folks with lung cancer who never smoked, and always feel compelled to mention that. There's not really a "good" cancer. I had breast cancer and also didn't like naming the type. It felt so intimate and I didn't like people immediately thinking about my boobs or how mangled I looked under a shirt.

I had base-of-tongue cancer that you get from performing oral sex (hpv), but since I was seeing head-and-neck cancer docs I told people at work that I had cancer in my neck area (so not lying).

I disagree. I think it was breast cancer.

That was discovered during abdominal surgery?

I don’t think there was abdominal surgery to begin with. That was so vague and obviously a lie and easier to get away with a month recovery story. She didn’t want to share her breast cancer diagnosis and reconstruction story - that is her right. I think she had a routine mammogram which starts at 40 and discovered something.

I think she had some kind of gynecological cancer. My guess is that night a year ago when she was taken away by ambulance in the middle of the night it was because she was either in a lot of pain or was bleeding. I doubt an ambulance came for her because she had a lump in her breast.

I would've done the same thing. It's so ironic that HPV carries a "dirty" stigma, considering something like 90% of us have/had HPV - we just didn't know about it because our bodies cleared it. My best to you!

Eh. Sorta. Charles’ cancer was discovered when they were treating an enlarged prostate so we certainly fan then guess the general area.

In the article there’s a quote where she’s talking about having a port for her treatment. Slipping little details out there without having to say too much.

Happy for you, PP in remission!
