Nope.

$2B and that's even ignoring the logarithm utility of money.

Chance of winning is one in 300 million.

Cash option is 500 million

Nobody won.

Would sock it all away but I'd definitely build a new house where I could have some more private space.

If I won, all my close friends would be Millionaires, also. You can’t take the money with ya when you die, so I’d make sure everyone’s lives are easier when I’m here.
I live in Maryland so I can be anonymous.

Anyone wanna play along? If you won the jackpot what would you do? What about a 5 million or 10 million prize? 1 million?
Mostly my life day-to-day would be the same ( high school teens) but breaks would be FUN and summer would be amazing, with that jackpot. Even for 5 million I would quit my job immediately. Not sure I would for 1 million, but would take a small amount to have fun with (new car? vacay?) and invest the rest for kids and university.

+1
Only play when it's over a billion. $2 for a 24 hour dream is more ROI than a movie.

All my close friends are already millionaires. I'd actually work really hard to not let them know I've won. We're already generational wealth, so we could probably hide it.

Yeah it's about the same as my SSN being drawn at random.

I’d start a foundation.

I would spend the rest of my life giving it away.

I don’t really want a big house or fancy cars or tons of travel.

I would help young people by houses, I would pay for college or any type of training people need, I would help widows and widow ours get the lives on track, I’d help pregnant college students finish college and pay for their daycare, yeah that’s about it.

I do want a nice house, a new car, and travel, but this would be so much money, it’s possible to do it all and still have tons of money to give away. I would have SO much fun helping people with it! And giving my closest friends several million each too.

Off to get a ticket…

I would take 50% and set up a charitable trust, e h.,The J. Beresford Tipton Family and Charitable Trust and give $1,000,000, tax free, to random people whom make life better for their community. See below link for reference.

How can you claim without having people know it’s you?

I would immediately get a lawyer and a financial advisor and secure the money and update my estate documents. Then I would go to London for a week to come up with a short-term plan. Eventually, I would establish trusts for everyone in the family so they could do whatever they want to do in life. I would set up a family foundation for giving away most of the money cuz that’s a lot of money.

And I would travel. Everywhere.

$500 million before taxes. In my opinion, lottery winnings should be tax-free.

I would take the $300 million and place even amounts of money in several different trust accounts.

Then I would make some overdue repairs to the house, get the cars spruced up by a professional, and look for oceanfront property.

I would donate a systematic (annual) amount to the Salvation Army as well as to Catholic Charities and other worthy causes.

Would get some tailor made shirts for family members and relatives.

Would commission the design and creation of multiple large crosses to remember my insignificance to this world.

While keeping the principal amount intact, I would donate about 90% of each year's earnings from the trusts from which I receive a benefit.

I would work harder and longer each day for the rest of my life.

And I would be grateful and thankful--proving it by helping others in need.

Wow, insane.

Of course consult with lawyer and financial advisor. Set up trusts for myself and family. I’d then give most of it away. No one needs that much money.

I’d be happy with enough where I didn’t really need a FT job and could travel.

New Jersey and Maryland both allow winners to remain anonymous. I’m sure there are other states.
