OP can do research, but grocery store ads don’t tell you how it’s going to taste or which less expensive hams are actually good. What’s strange about getting suggestions from people who have years of experience buying hams?
When I was a kid, the company my mom worked for gave beautiful hams to their employees every Christmas. They even gave them out to retired employees — and they’re not even in the food or hospitality industry! Because of that, I’m familiar with eating ham, but not buying it. I was interested in responses. I’ve bought Honey Baked before because that’s easy, but this year I have a guest who is diabetic and would appreciate a ham without a sweet glaze.
