If you have the chase sapphire (and possibly other chase cards) you get the dashpass for free so delivery is free. just need to tip.

pro tip - costco sells doordash giftcards for 20% off.

Order away!

Also, no guilt needed, sometimes your time is more valuable than the bit of extra it costs to order food and tip a delivery driver.

My kids are constantly asking to DoorDash fast food and I always tell them no. Mostly because it's stupid to spend so much extra money to have a relatively cheap thing brought to you, given all the fees. But I will admit that maybe once or twice a year, if I'm feeling under the weather, I will order the Udon noodle soup from Teaism.

You can order from high end places on Doordash too - Sushiko, etc. Plus groceries and liquor stores, Sephora, CVS - great when you're sick.

Isn't the food cold and steamed soggy by the time it arrives so you have to heat it back up?

I always have tortillas, black beans, and cheese in the house. So much easier, hotter, and good.

Same. Also never used Lyft or Uber.

For paying double the amount necessary? Just guessing.
