....and confidence. Seriously confidence can add $1M to the look of even the poorest of people. |
DP Yes, rich people everywhere are better looking, even DC. There are academic studies on this. They are fitted and take care of themselves better for sure. They marry better looking people and have better looking healthier offspring. Is this new to you? Or you just want to say somehow DC doesn't fit into your narrative. |
| Who the hell says "skinny minnie"? Are you a Boomer OP? |
This is very true. Just go there with someone- you will be introduced. People won't cluster and pointedly ignore you like basic women think that rich women behave. They do have manners to make you feel comfortable. If you want more than that, they'll figure out if your credentials make you worth it (probably not) but they will certainly have lovely manners. |
Not irrelevant. Clearly suggests that OP is blatantly oblivious to the fact that the most elite of clubs in the DC area, which has more Black people than White. No one is saying that White people can't be attractive or nice, but it's absolutely worth noting that in OP's gushing review of the members of the CCC she seems not to even notice that this membership club that self-selects members is shockingly White, even among the younger set. So much for an anthropological observation. |
What is OP talking about and what is its value? |
Well, true beauty is on the inside. |
|
1. they talk mostly about themselves, like an audio CV
2. they don't ask interesting questions 3. they only know about politics and / or their own specialist subjects |
I assume it's mostly white, despite DC's demographics, because it costs a bomb to join and clearly there are far more white people in the socioeconomic bracket that can afford this. You say it self-selects by race but the reality is it self-selects by wealth. Why don't you find out how many non-white people can afford a $80,000+ joining fee and then figure out whether the racial admissions are skewed? |
Why doesn't CCC then open up its doors to anyone who can afford it and see how it shakes out? I'd bet you the numbers of Black and Asian members would shoot up. |
