David Trone must be wondering where his opposition research was. This was low-hanging fruit.
I voted for Alsobrooks because to me the vote was about control of the Senate not the candidates. I also figured there would be an open seat again soon because the mortgage fraud and local tax fraud suggested that there was also federal income tax fraud, which the government actually prosecutes people for.
No, they don't, if you make a boring filing error and correct it when notified
Is that what you think happened here with the federal income taxes? Seems more willful when you consider there was mortgage fraud and local tax fraud too.
Can you explain how she violated federal income taxes? Hint - you can’t. She violated a technical element of DC property tax regulations. This is a District issue, not a federal tax issue. When she inherited the house from her grandparents she should’ve removed the Senior Homestead Deduction. This provided her a bigger homestead property tax credit than she otherwise should’ve received as a non-elderly owner. The IRS has no skin in enforcement of this issue, it falls squarely on the DC Office of Tax and Revenue. Like I said, no one cares because Marylanders hate paying anything to the DC local government *middle finger*
Grow up. Once Trump cleans DC out yiu can have your boring crime.ridden, mouse infested city all to yourself. |
Ooooh, now do Trump! |
Look, you probably voted for Trump and he brags about never paying taxes. Why the hardon for Alsobrooks who owes thousands compared to Trump's millions in back taxes. |
The IRS has challenged his returns, but I don't believe he currently owes anything. Apparently, Trump overpaid his taxes while commuting his other bookkeeping felonies. |
| Did she win? |
MTG Boebert Hawley Jim Jordan Americans voted that crap in republicans have tons of this shit and they voted them back in not one republican has every helped anyone and yet the NAZI STUPID cult won |
| Thank his hogan lost. |
| Taxes are optional for NAACP members in political office. Didn’t you know? |
Trump committed property tax fraud in DC too? |
Trump convinced DC officials to reduce the taxes on his hotel by about $1 million in 2018 after appealing the initial assessment. Those appeals almost never work but they did for trump. I must have missed the outrage from republicans at the time. |
The rapist and felon is also a tax cheat. |
| Sore loser I see. This is nothingbuger and all the attack ads didn’t work. |
My guess is that Trones research did uncover this and he decided not to bring it up. I don’t blame hogan for trying to make it an issue, but we’re talking about relatively small amounts for errors that were likely innocent. I am not sure Trone, with his personal fortune of hundreds of millions who probably has a very low effective tax rate, would have succeeded in making an issue out of property taxes that are basically pocket change to him. And it could have backfired for him if it caused people to do any digging on the taxes for his businesses and turned up something. |

Who cares?
We are not going to have food. God maga is too dumb |
Telling the bank you planned to live somewhere when your job depended on you living somewhere else was innocent? |
