do you double-wash your face

I don't wash my face every day either. I don't wear any makeup and my face just doesn't get that dirty.

Some days no if don’t workout or get sweaty. I know it’s shocking in DCUM land. Some days I also don’t wash my face when I take a shower. Just rinse it.

Different PP and no, I don't take a shower every day. I am around people two times a week most weeks, and generally take a shower twice a week. I have always stood with my face out of the shower spray, even when I used to shower every other day religiously.

+1

I'm 46 and double cleansing works well for me - I do a cleansing balm first (tried several, love the cheapest of the bunch - from Elf) and then a foaming cleanser. The cleansing balm is so nice for getting sunscreen, mascara, and such off my skin, but I think I'd feel a bit greasy if I didn't wash the residue from the balm off with the cleanser. I just rinse with water in the AM.

I don’t use special products, but I do wash, rinse, wash, rinse with basic Vanicream cleanser. I reapply sunscreen a few times each day and this is what’s needed to get it off.

I rarely wear makeup so my regular night is:

Cereve gentle wash
Miceller water

I think miceller water is sort of a cleanse, so maybe?

If I wear makeup, I will sometimes do a "rough" cleanse with the cereve to get the crap off, and then do a more thorough cleanse again. Still followed by miceller water. So yes, sometimes!

Why do you need to use two cleansers? Well, here’s where the types matter.

An oil-based cleanser is designed to remove oil-based impurities, including makeup, sunscreen, sebum, and pollution.

By getting rid of this stuff first, the second water-based cleanser can really work its way into the skin, removing the likes of grime and sweat.

Yeah. I just really don't have a lot of deeply embedded "grime" in my face.

I'm sure people who want to sell you multiple cleansers are more than willing to make you worry that you do, though.

DP. I wear sunscreen every day but my face never feels grimey or oily. Super lightweight sunscreen. Some nights I only rinse my face but I have incredibly dry skin to begin with.

Oil cleanser then Cerave face wash. Double cleansing with the oil cleanser is the only way to get the sunblock off my face - it makes a huge difference.

On days I wear makeup, yes.

Yes. At night, I use Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Oil or Balm to remove makeup and sunscreen, then wipe off my face with a cotton pad and Bioderma Micellar Water. I just use the Bioderma in the morning.

I don't wear makeup and don't wash my face. Soap goes on bits, pits and feet only.
