SJC has a more open, relaxed lifestyle than Gonzaga and that's partially due to the co-ed education. While Gonzaga is not known as an academic pressure cooker, SJC has a reputation of being basically like a public school in regards to how lax it is.

This is not true. My friends at Gonzaga's kids have no homework, while my kid is swimming in it at SJC. So stop trying to act like Gonzaga is superior.

Hmmm. That couldn't be further from the truth in my house. Both GZ boys were Honors and AP track and, particularly Junior year--whew! They worked hard every night and weekends.

The amount of time a kid spends on homework is a terribly poor measure of, well, anything.
My Gonzaga kid spent the least amount of time on homework his senior year. But he got all 4 & 5’s on his 6 AP classes (as did most of his classmates). He’s now at his ED1 college, little homework notwithstanding.
