I can. He is not there to protect students-he likes to gaslight and make the problems in his school the students fault. But it seems most admin are like this so....

Without specific examples it sounds like your child is a behavior problem. If a high school principal is not holding students accountable for poor choices they aren’t doing their job.

Different Westfield parent. I had an issue I needed to escalate to him. It was a simple admin thing, like getting a student id before school started so student could ask class schedule. Something like that. Student and I both trying to get info from other admin folks to resolve prior to school, but didn’t get resolved. Principal ghosted and never responded to me. Frankly found it pretty rude, but someone else finally resolved.

Westfield admin They do have some good teachers and coaches though~we appreciate them!

Not a fan of Westfield admin. They have had four serious incidenta in 2 years with terrible communication to parents and students. My child was incredibly upset over how the murdered student situation was handled last year. The communication on that situation was appalling and the way the student's death was not acknowledged in any way by the school was just so tone-deaf. The school is run like a factory.

I just heard they're getting a Vice Principal from Oakton to take the principal position at Langley. Yes, indeed a white man. He's an absolute tool, and I feel sorry for Langley. Especially the SpEd students.

People with issues get hired in positions and some do fine and you never hear anything. Others you find out about but being like principal Greer should’ve known the football coach liked lewd role play and the former student with developmental issues might be caught whipping it out during the school day (or whatever happened there)

The point is you can’t predict all these things in advance. Hell if you tried you’d probably never hire anyone. Imagine oh hi I’m applying for a job as teacher oh and I was a former catholic priest

Hope Langley gets a good replacement though, but if she’s staying on until new hire is in place that tells me that she does care about the students, staff, and school (despite what parents might think)

Sometimes people leave and they’re like I’m out Nov 1, and Nov 1 comes and there is no one as interim even in place. Be happy that she’s trying to support the transition and not just dip out

A corporate recruiter here and this is bull***T. All hirings are contingent on a clear background check. Sexual predators would not have a clear background check and this would have showed up as part of their background check, and the offer could have been rescinded if it had already been extended to them. Most companies hire AFTER the background check has been completed and cleared.

Gannon is a hidden gem! Smaller (3K undergrad students) private Catholic university. Has a very strong tradition of community service and supportive student culture.

Not super selective (average SAT is about 1100). They have some great clinical opportunities for students interested in the health professions. Solid financial aid!
