I'm going to assume you're the same person posting over and over. The language and writing style is the same. You have some serious anger issues and are quite frankly no better than a "right winger." Might want to use that great Government healthcare and get some counseling. I'm glad our tax money is paying for you to play on the internet all day. |
That’s not a “problem.” It is perfectly acceptable to reject someone for associating with right-wing ideology. |
Why should something “happen” to this person? They did nothing wrong. |
Sincere question - was it also acceptable to reject someone from admission for supporting McCain in 2008 or Romney in 2012? |
Pretty sure Vance and Cruz went for graduate or professional school, not undergraduate. Not sure of the others. |
My impression is that the colleges, and especially graduate programs like law schools are separate for thinking conservative applicants. (And that’s largely who is populating the Econ and business undergrad classes.). Trey do not want MAGAs who are largely racist and not skilled at critical thinking. So volunteering for the Trump campaign would probably be a major ding. But volunteering for Hogan, or being in future business leaders of America, etc., is all fine and would likely be a plus. Really, all of America is desperate for conservatives with critical thinking skills….its not good for any of us to have the so-called conservative wing of politics dominated by people who are just corrupt, racist and not very bright. God help us but it makes me miss Nixon!!! He was only a little bit racist and a little bit corrupt but was at least smart. |
Explain how that is the same thing to me like I am 5. |
Only a part of the paragraph describes conservatives -- the other is not a political position, it is morally bankrupt and anti-American. If you can't see that, then you seriously do not understand what the party of Trump is actually up to, and it is past time for you to wake up. It's not OK. |
Why would they have? McCain and Romney did not espouse morally bankrupt positions or hate, nor did they proudly promote violence. |
1. I think it's wise to keep one's political affiliations close to the vest, unless they are showy and popular among the NPR liberal crowd, like gun reform, helping immigrants or the environment. MAGA? Leave it off. Real mad about the Gaza war (on either side?) Leave it off.
2. That being said, I find the distinction being made between good/acceptable country club conservatism and bad MAGA conservatism pretty specious and actually dangerous. Leaving aside the fact that country club conservatism has a lot to answer for in its own right (Iraq/Katrina) - beyond that, MAGA is half the country. If we leave half the country out of the admissions pool, we do a disservice to our schools and really our nation. We need to find a way to bring some MAGA heads into the fold. |
PP said “it is perfectly acceptable to reject someone for associating with right-wing ideology”. I am trying to test the scope of that assertion with historical elections. |
You've posted enough drivel today to show you are not to be taken seriously. Now go back to your cushy GS-10 job and earn your pay Govie. |
At that lousy school, maybe. One more reason not to belabor essays. The person reading likely isn’t as smart as your kid. |
Don't we tell our kids to assume anything and everything they post on social media is "public" in a sense? Anyone can screenshot it and share it. |
You know what happens when you ASSume… For example, this is my third post. You can use your superior deductive reasoning skills to find the other one. And I pay about $1000 a month for my portion of great government healthcare— which I used last week to have major surgery. So I’m off of work for the next month and spending my leave time surfing DCUM. Besides that, you are dead on. |
