But see, if she had wanted to talk to you about her mother dying, she probably would have called you. She wanted you to know her mother died but wasn’t really feeling up to talking about it right then.

Yeah I'm the one who said I think these younger generations may just die off altogether from lack of being able to manage normal human interactions - but I also think you have to understand that when someone is in crisis, and esp when they have to share news with a lot of people, they may not be up for talking. But that's ok - they don't have to pick up the phone!
