Election night meal

Maybe chicken fricassee and apple pie. Lincoln liked those so why not? Also I've never had or made chicken fricassee! Not sure how I feel about the wings or how you would even eat them in this broth. I think I'll use some boneless chicken instead (that part will be in honor of Trump)

I mean, fried chicken, onions, garlic, salt and pepper. Seems like a disappointment. Perfect.

12 chicken wings (about 2-1/2 pounds)
1/3 to 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
3/4 teaspoon pepper, divided
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 medium onions, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1-1/4 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
Hot cooked rice

Who said they are planning a celebration?

PP is triggered because they don't support the same candidate that most of DCUM supports.

Usually we try to do something that is loosely tied to the candidate we want to win . I'm not sure what we are going to do this year.

Well if you support Harris, given she's Jamaican, Indian and American... there are LOTS of delicious choices!!!

If it's the other candidate, then you're restricted to fast food, or overdone steak with ketchup. You picked him so I won't feel sorry for you.

Fast food is American food. I know this revelation will shock you to the core.

Yes but most Americans wouldn't serve it cold to winning college athlete visitors to the White House.

The other option is to be in front of the toilet to vomit.

Today’s fast food is not really food. Not shocking but sickening. But go on and drive -thru and do you.

I like that it's beer AND wine. This made me laugh.

Haha. I'm the PP. Yeah that's what I meant by we weren't sure what we wanted to do this year. She has given us a lot of choices! Will probably go Indian because we enjoy making a lot of Indian recipes anyways.

Lots of snacks to keep going.

We are two adults and a teen taking AP Gov, so, yeah.

Same. We have one teen doing AP Gov, and the other in college in International Affairs and Politics. He's coming home to vote that day! I have to plan for something they both like.

Please have him vote early if possible - you just don't know what things will be like that day and you don't want to risk him not being able to vote!

I don't think I'll be able to eat ...

Eight years ago I had a party and everyone went home early with a lot of the food uneaten.

This time it might just be me with a pint of Ben and Jerry’s.

I think something like super loaded nachos in a cast iron dish.

As always, I go to sleep early. When I wake up in the wee hours of the morning, I will find out the results.
