Connie Chung was embarrassed by attending UMD

She goes on to say that NOW is an entirely different story and that the university transformed itself into a highly competitive institution, and that she would not get in today.

Proud Terp alum here and I feel the same way. And I went there 30 years after she did. I wouldn’t get in now and I was in the Honors program back then. It’s an entirely different school now.

She is not embarrassed by marrying Maury Povich? He invented the on air DNA test surprise for a talk show host. Jerry Springer would be nowhere without Maury Povich.

It blows away every school in the mid Atlantic

Mid-Atlantic includes New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. UMD would not even be close to the top in terms of alumni accomplishments.

Oh where did you go to school

Oxford university, in England for my BA and Cambridge for my MA.

Always a troll.

Definitely a troll. My sister went to Cambridge and always calls it an MPhil, per their terminology. No one who actually went to those schools would use the wrong terminology for the degree.

I adapted my terminology specifically for dumb Americans.

Sure you did. Bark. Bark.

I know! Now THAT is a little embarrassing.

I love looking up where various successful people I see on the news, various reality shows went to school. It's always extremely varied, with many going to much "worse" schools than UMD back in the day. People really need to stop being snobs about education. A motivated, intelligent person will do well anywhere.
