The guy who created UA is most certainly not a genius. Far from it. He hustled his way to success (after being tossed out of Prep).

lol

What about the other world dominating creations that UVA falls short of ?

A lot of those people were at UMD 20 years after Chung, and after the Letterman interview, and/or didn't go to UMD for undergrad. You'll need to dig further into history

Why do I get the feeling you haven't bothered to investigate the alumni accomplishments of every other school in the mid-Atlantic region in an objective manner?

Definitely a troll. My sister went to Cambridge and always calls it an MPhil, per their terminology. No one who actually went to those schools would use the wrong terminology for the degree.

It is pretty basic OP, but more of us went to state schools than private. And who really cares? It didn't hold back Connie C. to go to a basic place.

Correct

More students everywhere, same number of uni seats, everyone moved up a tier or two

It’s so pointless for anyone to trash UMD. I’m proud to live in a metro area with so many great universities, big and small, private and public.

Plus, many universities—of all sizes, public and private—have programs or researchers or student opportunities that make them special. What is the point of putting down any university? It doesn’t make your degree any more valuable, or your life any more fulfilling. Obviously…
