Cheap junk, makes you fat, and causes cancers. Aside from that, nothing.

Do you then never go out to eat? What do you eat when traveling?
I supposed you can avoid it if you cook for yourself exclusively but don't think these kinds of cooking oils are completely avoidable, they are probably used as cooking oil in 99% restaurants and take out joints.

Life is not all or nothing.

Enjoying a cigar now and then is fine. Smoking several a day is not. Understand?

lol so now you backtrack and say it is actually fine in moderation.
Why didn't you write that after your sarcastic "Cheap junk, makes you fat, and causes cancers. Aside from that, nothing."

You obviously have difficulty in understanding many things. Perhaps work on that issue first. Then prioritize topics.

There is an app called “seed oil scout” where you can look up restaurants that don’t use seed oils. But you have to pay for the app.

Sweetgreen does not use seed oils.

Yeah but… here’s the thing. Seed oils aren’t uniquely dangerous. It’s all a bunch of fake mumbo jumbo for mommy blogs and instagram. And to sell apps.

“While the internet may be full of posts stating that seed oils such as canola and soy are “toxic,” scientific evidence does not support these claims, according to experts. Guy Crosby, adjunct associate of nutrition at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, was among those quoted in a May 31, 2022 Consumer Reports article who pushed back on the idea that these oils cause health ills ranging from headaches to heart disease.“

The only legit sources left are on X, YouTube, and Instagram, amiright?

Our education system has failed us so badly. Look at the study methodology and tell us why you think it’s flawed. Don’t tell me because a researcher was emailed by Monsanto once to say nice thjngs about GMOs (which was perfectly accurate, btw) that all researchers at Harvard are therefore unreliable.

This is really your family member’s issue to solve for. Seriously, this person is going to go to a restaurant based on your research? And then what happens when there is hidden oil in salad dressings, drizzled on pizza, etc? You cannot be willing to carry that responsibility. I would send this person menus of your top recommendations, and let this person choose. Clearly they are used to this.

Strange that all the leading universities disagree with you

The "Hateful Eight" may sound like an old-time Western movie, but this showdown doesn't involve cowboys or horses or even guns. It's a battle over the supposed dangers posed by eight seed oils – canola, corn, cottonseed, grapeseed, soy, rice bran, sunflower and safflower – and it's being fought on social media.

To listen to some people on TikTok, YouTube or any of a number of podcasts, the oil extracted from these plants is poisoning us. But is it, really?

"It's so odd that the internet has gone wild demonizing these things," said Dr. Christopher Gardner, a professor of medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine in California and a nutrition scientist at the Stanford Prevention Research Center. "They are not to be feared."
