DS also applying to Arizona with SALT as a big draw. Thanks for the flag on funding. |
| Not sure of the status of these programs/schools - but this was an initial list we reviewed a few years ago. https://www.koppelmangroup.com/blog/2022/7/6/top-7-colleges-for-dyslexic-students |
| We are focusing on test optional schools. |
| My DC has dyslexia and dysgraphia and is a B+ student at a rigorous private. They didn’t take any foreign language in high school. They want to play their sport at either club or d3 level. List included: Dickinson, Gettysburg, Muhlenberg, Chapman, Lake Forest, Puget Sound, LMU. They’re down to two: Chapman and Lake Forest. |
I have 2 kids with dyslexia and I laughed when I read this! |
| Boston College, Middlebury, Bates, Wesleyan, Carleton |
Did yours take foreign language? |

I also loved the Havrard comment.

I thought PP's joke was funny! Video: A Harvard graduate on growing up with dyslexia https://www.understood.org/en/articles/video-a-harvard-graduate-on-growing-up-with-dyslexia |
| Unfortunately, I don’t think acceptance at UMD College Park is likely with a B+ average. My junior with learning challenges though not dyslexia currently has a 3.8 uw - about 50% of classes are honors (with hopefully 3 APs and 2 DE by end of senior year). College Park is a high reach for his stats and coursework and that’s aiming for freshman connection which he’d be overjoyed to get. He is looking at JMU, Towson and similar as targets. My other DS with dysgraphia is at UMD College Park but he had high stats and way more rigor. |
Oh hey, that’s the younger sister of one of my classmates at NCS. It’s a small world sometimes. |
I have a kid applying to 3 of these…. Yes took an easy FL and did well in it. |
Yes, Spanish. Three years. |
with a B+ average and not too many APs? |
