You'll be fine on El Al. No airline is more security conscious.

No one should fly el Al for any reason. Just like Apartheid era South Africa everything Israeli is tainted with the blood pain and terror of apartheid. As Christians, as Americans, as humans, I implore you to completely eschew all things from this country and its r e I g n of t e r r o r.

+1. Absolutely. We have done that in my house, and have ended services from ISR providers.

This isn’t the place for this anti-Israel hatred.

But, since you want to go there, I assume you’ve discontinued use of:

- Waze
- any agricultural products since most farms use pesticide technology from Israel
- anything with an intel processor
- Skype
- never again you should play Guess Who

I do not use Waze or Skype. I used Fiverr for business and canceled that account to ensure that we do not support genocide. Guess who? It's not 1982 but thanks.

And if "anti-Israel hatred" means saying no to genocide, sign me up

I'm going to Dubai I'm a week and this concern has not even crossed my mind.

Cool. I promise you use lots of intel processors though, whether you know it or not. Israel thanks you for your support.

Doha airport is fantastic. Doha is very safe from the point of view of regional conflict.

Skype was founded by a Swede, Dane and 4 Estonians. Intel was founded by Americans. Most Israeli technology is actually technology misappropriated from other inventors. Typically American. Not only is the Mossad legendary so is Israeli corporate espionage.

To the original question, I wouldn't avoid transit in Doha or Dubai. I would look carefully at flight routes; in the best of times, flying over Iran isn't ideal. These days, it could get you killed - the Iranians didn't stop civilian air traffic during their recent missile barrage (or in 2020 when they struck US air bases in Iraq - that resulted in an accidental downing of a civilian jet that killed 176 innocents.

You can put your head in the sand all you want. VOIP was invented by Israelis. Many intel chips, even if the company was founded by Americans, were created by Israelis.

“2024 marks 50 years of Intel Israel’s significant and innovative contributions to our life-changing technologies—from the Centrino chip, which enabled the world to use WiFi, to Intel® Core™ processors and artificial intelligence (AI). Intel Israel’s development and manufacturing centers are vital to Intel's success and play an active role in most areas of the company’s global operations.”

Thank you for your support of the Israeli people!

VOIP was Marion Croak

"Marian Croak
She is best known for developing Voice Over Internet Protocols (VoIP), technology that converts your voice into a digital signal, allowing you to make a call directly from a computer or other digital device. Marian Croak was born in 1955 and raised in New York City.""

Intel no matter what you want to believe is a US company. If they do some RD in Israel, so what? Israel was not the engine driving it. Merely a convenient place.

If you are that committed to Israel, move there. Show your REAL support.

Anonymous wrote:Just look at the flight you are thinking of booking and look at its route on Flight Radar. You should be fine, but if the route goes over Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Ukraine, Russia, maybe Poland, Iraq, Iran, then you might want to reconsider. Also, you could just connect in London, Paris, Germany, or any other place in Europe. The Middle East airlines are a little nicer, but it’s a long flight to Qatar and Dubai. Connecting in Europe might be preferable, so you can avoid a 12+ hour flight.

Palestine?

The West Bank, Gaza. It’s not really controversial—these are places that are not Israel. When I visited the West Bank (a few years ago) my Verizon network said “welcome to Palestine” on my phone.

It’s not OK to dehumanize these people by erasing their country and pretending it doesn’t exist. Please stop. We see you. Just say no to all dehumanization attempts including anti Islam, anti Palestinian, anti Arab and Anti semitic efforts. All are wrong!! There are no chosen people, just humans. Be human!

Erm, what are you talking about? I just said that Palestine exists. I gently suggest that your fervor is causing you to read things that aren’t there.

Obviously this is not directed at you. It’s directed at the poster who questioned the use of the word Palestine like it’s a radical thing.

Yes, in her frenzy she responded to the wrong person. She should take a beat and breathe before posting.

Maybe you should move to Gaza if you really want to show your support!

And btw, “Alon Cohen ((Hebrew: אלון כהן); born in Israel, 1962) is the co-founder of VocalTec Inc.[1] (1989) and the co-inventor of the Audio Transceiver (U.S. patent 5,825,771)[2] that enabled the creation of Voice Over Networks products and eventually the VoIP industry.”

And yes, Intel is a US based company but Israel is more than “a convenient place.” Do you hear yourself speak?
