Flying through the Middle East now?

Agree, but I also would be very stressed out leading up to it, so it wouldn’t be worth it to me, especially as things expand to Iran.

Dubai is totally safe. You’re creating an issue when there isn’t one - I mean that in a nice way . Enjoy the trip!

You should be fine, but if the route goes over Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Ukraine, Russia, maybe Poland, Iraq, Iran, then you might want to reconsider. Also, you could just connect in London, Paris, Germany, or any other place in Europe. The Middle East airlines are a little nicer, but it’s a long flight to Qatar and Dubai. Connecting in Europe might be preferable, so you can avoid a 12+ hour flight.

Palestine?

The West Bank, Gaza. It’s not really controversial—these are places that are not Israel. When I visited the West Bank (a few years ago) my Verizon network said “welcome to Palestine” on my phone.

You'll be fine on El Al. No airline is more security conscious.

No one should fly el Al for any reason. Just like Apartheid era South Africa everything Israeli is tainted with the blood pain and terror of apartheid. As Christians, as Americans, as humans, I implore you to completely eschew all things from this country and its r e I g n of t e r r o r.

It’s not OK to dehumanize these people by erasing their country and pretending it doesn’t exist. Please stop. We see you. Just say no to all dehumanization attempts including anti Islam, anti Palestinian, anti Arab and Anti semitic efforts. All are wrong!! There are no chosen people, just humans. Be human!

Your use of the "chosen people" trope tell us all we need to know.

Erm, what are you talking about? I just said that Palestine exists. I gently suggest that your fervor is causing you to read things that aren’t there.

DP. EL AL has a long history of harassing American citizens, refusing to allow boarding, removal from planes, making false security flags, detaining Americans for weeks or months, etc. US homeland security will accept these flags and false charges because the US government is not allowed to question Israel. So you will have problems in the US after flying EL AI.

EL AI security screening is heavily weighted in racial profiling and social media reviews. So flying EL AI as an American is a huge risk. Specially if you are not lilly white or are not fully supportive of Israel.

You can Google the complaints against them.

Yes! If anyone refutes any of the crap you spew you collapse and cry victim. We’ve all seen it. We see you. So chosen! So special! Can’t be held to the same rules as the other countries right? Or the other people? Yuck.

Obviously this is not directed at you. It’s directed at the poster who questioned the use of the word Palestine like it’s a radical thing.

You are very very angry at the mere concept of Jewish people existing....

Remember- you will also be 30k ft+ in the air. An attack on a passenger plane or neutral party would be too harmful for the attacking country. You’ll be fine. I deeply regret not taking Turkish last year (business class 1300 each way) because someone in my party was afraid. If you die at least it won’t be at work!!
