? those are fugly |
You don't have to wear them! I love them. |
op is asking for recommendations. Those look like something my seamstress mom would've made for me back in the 70s, and forced me to wear. Maybe if you are 5'8"+, and slim it would look ok on you, but OP is 5'5" with a big chest. That will look more like a muumuu house dress on her. |

I recommend the lands end serious sweats.
They are comfortable and in all the colors. https://www.landsend.com/products/womens-high-rise-serious-sweats-fleece-lined-pocket-bootcutpants/id_380574https://www.landsend.com/products/womens-serious-sweats-high-rise-relaxed-straight-leg-pants/id_386877 https://www.landsend.com/products/womens-high-rise-serious-sweats-fleece-lined-pocket-bootcut-pants/id_380574 |
Dude, we're allowed to like different things. OP asked for soft clothes suggestions. I like these better than Lands End Starfish pants. We can move on, I think. |
DP. They're not fugly but definitely not something I'd wear as a 50-year-old... |
I am the one who suggested them and I am 51, so - as I keep saying! - we are ALLOWED TO LIKE DIFFERENT THINGS. I would delete my post if we had that ability because my gd this is annoying! I don't remember holding a gun to anyone's head and saying that anyone else is REQUIRED to wear a dress that I personally have gotten a LOT of great use from! Happy use! I feel great in these dresses! I am five feet tall so perhaps it helps to be a Tiny Person who wears them or MAYBE WE JUST LIKE DIFFERENT F'IN THINGS. |
Np. Would you mind lining to the specific Arotzia pieces? Op, I wish you great luck. I have a totally AH and casual lifestyle excepting infrequent part time gigs where I have to truly dress up. I had a leg surgery this month and have aches. I have similar proportions and love bumming around in size 1 sweatsuit separates from the great and also think I may get a velour set from Susie kondi |

I love James Perse. California comfortable but rich Malibu vibe: linens, cashmeres, soft soft fabrics, loose fit.
Probably overpriced, but lovely. |
FWIW I think the dress is cute, especially for a petite person like yourself. |
I don't get the hate. These are cute. I am buying one of these dresses! |
| Land's end has some dresses in soft material that are actually pretty flattering. I have a few of them. |
| Agree that the karma east dresses would look super cute on the right 50 year old. In fact, I think I'd like them more on someone that age than the 20ish models. On an older woman with the personality to match - playful, confident, doesn't take herself so seriously - those dresses are great! |
| I do soft clothes only, and I really like Lilla P for casual clothes. I also shop at Soft Surroundings occasionally. |
