| That does not sound like shingles. If anything, it sounds a lot like skin cancer. |
Op - I don’t think so bc it’s blisters not moles |
| Could be genital warts. You'd have to see a doctor to know exactly what's going on. Also, it's sad that adult women don't know what a vagina is. Nobody is shaving their vagina! |
| Or bartholin cysts |
| Be logical. Of course it is from the goo on the wand from your ultrasound. You probably reacted to it. Good grief it isn't shingles or SKIN CANCER! Ignore these nuts. |
| my vote is varicose veins. |
op from the super fun google images I've uncovered, that seems to be the closest match to what women were eventually told was going on. most of the women who seem to get this are pregnant though and i am not. the one i found in the shower seems to have shrunk a lot since yesterday. urgh. have appt this afternoon so i guess will soon find out. the coincidence with the u/s is notable. |
| Is it painful? |
| Any chance it could be a MRSA infection? They often look like dark boils and can appear around the buttocks and genital areas. |
op - oh wow they do? I guess if the ultrasound wand wasn't properly sanitized it's possible. |
not really. a little sore in one spot. |
| When I’ve had MRSA (on my thighs near but not on vagina) it was very painful. |
A varicose vein goes flat and pale when pressure is applied |
| How come no one has said herpes?? |
NP- I had MRSA on my vulva. It showed up as a dark red boil, warm to the touch/appeared very inflamed. It was painful, so I initially thought it was an ingrown hair. GYN lanced and drained it for me, which was even more painful! The best part was when she told me it was “definitely herpes” and only tested for that. Came back after a week and I had to go back in to culture it for other things- ended up being MRSA. She didn’t seem to care that two weeks with untreated MRSA is dangerous (and contagious). FWIW, manuka honey is a very effective antibacterial! |
