Michelle Obama selling her new juice drink at Costco

It's still going to be full of sugar.

"Forced?"

The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 is a federal law that was signed into law by President Barack Obama to improve access to healthy food for children in the United States.

Yes, forced. Federal law is mandatory.

Kids didn't care about the law. They just threw their meals into the trash. Social media was flooded with pictures of trashcans full of school kids meals around then.
The schools and cafeterias didn't care they lost business and more kids brought their own lunches, they got that federal money either way.

To be fair, she wasn't making bank on that as she is on this.

Of course…when it’s time to make money, standards? Huh? Oh, you mean my money? That’s the standard.

No current or former American politician or family member of an American politician is doing anything known to the public without there being a price tag involved in some shape or form. It's all they know. I love the Obamas and wish them success in any of their endeavors.

Ok, but facts matter: schools were forced by federal law to change their nutrition standards and meal programs.

The schools and cafeterias did care that they lost business, they just couldn’t do anything about it.

Shilling apple juice flavored with genetically modified fruit concentrate and genetically modified corn fiber and calling it healthy while talking about her role as FLOTUS and nutrition and health programs during the Obama administration is not something I ever expected to see Michelle doing.

Schools only receive federal money if they serve a student a reimbursable meal.

If a student brings a lunch to school, the school cafeteria/district nutrition program doesn’t receive any federal reimbursement/money. The schools must provide documentation for each reimbursable meal that they serve to each student every day at both breakfast and lunch.

federal money? You misspelled taxpayer dollars. It’s taxpayers paying for school breakfast and lunches. Not the federal government.

I’m just a retired suburban mom and I wouldn’t want to be offering samples at Costco.

Girl, I thought you were better than this. It’s embarrassing. They don’t need the money. So weird.

Maybe she does need the money 🤷

Could be a sign that things are not great in their marriage….

I wonder if they are burning through money…as many “new money” people often do.

Regardless, it’s very tacky.

She looks rough in that photo. She usually has a more stylish and classic look going on.

Anything Michelle or her family could do is obviously a lot less harmful to the world compared to what the Trumps or Bidens can and have done.

She’s making money off of selling gmo apple juice/corn fiber drinks and talking about her role as FLOTUS as she does so. It’s weird and very disappointing. I do like Michelle. I think she is a true and loyal person/friend and down to earth woman. This is very disappointing.

Was this a favor for a friend?

They have at least four 8-figure estate mansions and a doomsday bunker to pay for. Property taxes are skyrocketing.

I dunno. This seems like way below her pay grade. I guarantee she didn’t run this by her agent. She can hawk products for much better and more recognizable brands.

Smells a bit desperate…

She is the founder of the company producing and manufacturing and selling these drinks. She’s not just a spokesperson.
