What do you buy at IKEA?

Swedish fish which I haven’t seen the last few times I have gone.

I’m crazy about the vegan food in the shop - chik’n nuggets, veggie dogs, veggie balls, potato patties (remind me of a potato scone). Nice towels and pillow covers and fabrics. Their pet line is great - stainless steel bowls, mats, beds, toys. All safely made and machine washable. That’s what drew me to them when my kids were small - machine wash/dry toys and rugs.

I am experiencing smell issues in lots of places now: happened at Aldi, Target near milk, Walmart...What is going on?!

I looked this up and it says "heightened sense of smell" can be associated with peri! I had no idea, but it also means it's not my imagination and the smell really IS bad, I just could not smell it before. That's pretty off-putting about these stores.

Nothing. I've always been confused by the brand, and being in the store triggers my anxiety. It's too large, feels like a maze, and is too challenging to find the exit.

We furnished our first apartment entirely with IKEA 20 years ago when we were in graduate school. Some of those pieces were still in good shape when we threw out all our old furniture prior to a move this year. I can’t say the same for the stuff they’re selling now.

The bag clips (sort of like a barrette, but for your bags in place of a chip clip) are life changing. My absolute favorite thing to get there.

The children's hangers are the best for pre-school to elementary age: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/bagis-childrens-coat-hanger-mixed-colors-00466598/
Plastic hangers for adults...not so much.

Plants and pots--they have a good selection and the plants hold up.
Dishwashing brush and toilet brushes
Trash cans
Lightbulbs
Duvets and Duvet covers--they have a decent selection at a reasonable price
