Soooo…are you trying to have your child repeat kinder? I don’t think the new school will care especially now that they’re enrolled. Or are you trying to hide behavior problems that they had? Did you lie (by omission) to the new school? Otherwise they would request records. Weird. Really. |
Andy - can you confirm you aren’t harming the child?
You are a privacy freak because your kindergartener was neglected? Define neglect. Did little suzie demand all the attention or not know how to stand in line and that feels like neglect? Yeah for you for wasting resources so the city can make sure your don’t kid isn’t actually harmed and the state of VA should investigate you. Hmmm or maybe you bragged about how important you are and fancy you are and were moving to some expensive suburb and really moved to a lower rent place. |
NP. Give us break. Sounds like all that matters was the case was closed quickly and easily without a fuss. Where do you find the time to demonize random people like this? For all you know, the parent had a good reason for not giving the name of the kid's new school. Maybe they were considering homeschooling, or on waiting lists for other schools, or unsure where they were going to live, or whatever. Parents get to make their own legal decisions in a free country or should anyway. |
No one cares which option they chose- but our free country does care that children are cared for and not neglected, abused, etc. That is what this process is protecting. Parents actually can’t just do whatever they want when it comes to their children. The OP said they moved to a suburb and enrolled in their neighborhood school. Just provide that info to the previous school. Haven’t you heard about kids who were neglected by their parents or killed or whatever because schools didn’t know where they were? Get off your high horse. |
