Supposedly it all starts in just a few days?! Why haven't we gotten a team assignment?! My kid's rec team will have had 3 practices by the time we even start. We should have stuck with that.

Did you accept the team snap invite? Check your spam or junk email.

We hadn’t missed it, but we did get it all last night. Invite to Team Snap, practice info and game schedule. So, 5 days notice. Better than 1-3!

I found the ADP game schedule/info on the Arlington Soccer website, but we still have no practice info for our team. I'm assuming the practice info will be posted on Team Snap and so far there is nada, other than the team roster. This is ridiculous.

We're already in the second week of school and just got practice notifications yesterday. Unfortunately they only sent info on the pool practices and not the regular practices. Didn't even acknowledge that misstep. They typically give coaches ability to share their preferred days of the week and locations....not this year. For whatever reason, the pool practices were also moved to a grass field rather than turf. Arlington grass fields are notoriously awful and not conducive to "developing" skills. Not to mention that if it's rained out it's simply rained out and there will not be a makeup. We know that fields are scarce in Arlington but it's clear that even Rec gets field prioritization. Hard to justify the cost of ADP versus what you actually get.

Emails to ADP management go unreturned so good luck with that.

ADP is a level of rec for little kids. Older rec teams should be prioritized for field space.

I also have no practice schedule. Or I should say, I have half a practice schedule. Team Snap has the pool practices times but not the individual team practices. Increasingly more frustrated with this program.

This may be true, but Arlington advertises it as a travel league and given the fees we are paying, it should be prioritized.

"What is ADP (Travel or Recreational)?

ADP is a travel program. That means the travel soccer philosophies will be followed when running this program."

I'm looking at the game fields and is it true that Chesterfield is bermuda grass? How are games played on grass vs turf? Does that mean to plan for lots of canceled games too?

Yes Chesterfield is grass. It's on the Wakefield campus, on the side that faces Claremont Immersion.

This last minute communication issue is a leadership issue at Arlington ADP. It is a culture there. That is how they role with communication of schedules. As a parent, I would not engage with the leadership. Ignore their areas of improvement. It is a waste of time to deal with them. Focus in what you like about ADP and be happy, and do what you can control on your side as parent , volunteer.
